Standard vs Brown Davis
Standard figure is the factory capacity (90 L front + 90 L rear tank). Range assumes 12 L/100 km, typical for a loaded touring 4x4. Towing, sand and corrugations use more fuel. Never run a tank completely dry.
+80 L is about 4 jerry cans you no longer carry on the roof.
4 jerry cans.
Or one Brown Davis tank.
The TL79R2 for the 79 Series Single Cab 1999–2016 replaces the factory 180 L tank with a 260 L Brown Davis tank in the same place. That extra 80 L is four 20 L jerry cans you no longer strap to the roof.

Questions
Does the kit include everything I need?
Yes. Every Brown Davis tank comes with the brackets, hoses, fittings and step-by-step instructions. Auxiliary tanks also include the pump or changeover wiring and a gauge.
Will my fuel gauge still work?
Replacement tanks use the factory sender, so your gauge keeps working. Auxiliary tanks come with their own gauge.
Why is the distance-to-empty reading wrong?
The vehicle's computer still thinks it has the factory tank size, so the distance-to-empty figure will read low. Use the fuel gauge and your trip meter instead.
Does it change my ground clearance?
No. Our tanks follow the factory lines and keep your ramp-over and departure angles.
